
Healing From the Inside Out: The Power of Subconscious, Somatic & Energy Work.
Introduction:

Your subconscious is like your mind’s autopilot. Storing every belief, emotional association, and survival strategy you've picked up since birth. It runs 90–95% of your daily thoughts, behaviours, and reactions.
That means even when you consciously want something (confidence, love, ease), your subconscious patterns may be stopping you because of what is rooted in your deeper settings. Patterns or beliefs such as:
"I'm not enough."
"It’s not safe to be seen."
"I have to overgive to be loved."
"Things always go wrong eventually."
You didn’t choose these beliefs. Most of them formed in childhood or through emotionally intense moments when your brain was highly suggestible.
That’s why mindset work alone often stalls. Your subconscious doesn’t speak logic, it speaks emotion and repetition.
To create real, lasting transformation, we must work with the subconscious, not against it.
Somatic Healing: Why the Body Must Be Involved
Trauma and emotional pain don’t just live in your memory, they live in your nervous system and body tissue.
The body keeps score, and when healing happens only in the mind, the body stays stuck in old protective patterns like:
Shallow breathing
Muscle tension
Digestive issues
Freeze/fawn responses
Chronic fatigue or “busy brain”
This is why somatic (body-based) healing is essential. It gently helps the body complete responses it never got to finish, like setting a boundary, crying safely, or shaking off fear.
Only when the body feels safe can your nervous system shift from survival to self-trust.

Your Brain and Nervous System Are Always Communicating
Your brain and body are in constant dialogue via the autonomic nervous system, which governs survival states like fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. When you’ve experienced chronic stress, emotional neglect, or subtle trauma (even without a “big event”), your nervous system becomes wired for protection over presence.
This is why you might logically know you’re safe… but still feel anxious, flat, or on edge. Your body hasn’t caught up with the new story yet.
The Subconscious Mind Runs the Show
Research suggests that up to 95% of your thoughts and behaviours are governed by your subconscious . They are shaped by early experiences, emotional memories, and the meanings you attached to them. These patterns are efficient, but not always accurate or helpful.
For example, if you grew up learning that love equals self-sacrifice or visibility equals danger, those beliefs will quietly influence how you show up. Even if your adult self wants something different. Subconscious work helps update these inner “codes” so they reflect your current truth, not your childhood conditioning.
The Body Stores What the Mind Can’t Process
Trauma research (including the work of Bessel van der Kolk and Peter Levine) shows that unresolved emotional experiences become stored in the body... in your muscles, fascia, breath patterns, posture, and even your gut.
This is why you can feel exhausted or overwhelmed without a clear reason. It’s not all in your head, your body is carrying stories it never had the chance to fully release.
Somatic healing helps complete those unfinished stress cycles. It supports the body to feel safe again, so healing isn’t just something you think about — it’s something you embody.
And Yes — Energy Is Scientific, Too
While energy healing is often considered “woo,” it has grounding in real science. Everything, including your body, is made of vibrating energy fields. Emotions, thoughts, and stress all carry frequency. Even the heart emits an electromagnetic field measurable up to 3 metres away.
